Day by day crypto currency is becoming famous and up until now some of us has only seen crypto as a payment for some online purchases or even ATMs, but today I was shocked to see a news article on moneycontrol.com that a tea stall in Marathahalli area, Bangalore.
The story goes like this, a guy named Shubham Saini, 22 year old has started a tea stall in Marathahalli area, Bangalore and he setup cryptocurrency as payment method for the tea service. He was a dropped out from BCA academics. In 2020, he came to Bangalore in search of job and study and being a crypto enthusiastic he invested in cryptos and made some decent amount. He even paid his college fees, but dropped out of BCA in final year and started to trade fulltime. The bullish market has given the luck he wants, but when the market hit the bearish trend he lost all of his portfolio and came back right where he started.
To met his daily needs he has sell off his new iPhone and being ashamed to ask money with his parents, he opened a tea stall and named it as "The frustrated dropout". Some of his daily customers encouraged him to facilitate the crypto payment method for payments. Then started accepting crypto payments by putting QR code just like UPI payment. Daily around 20 customers pay in crypto as I read the article.
What do you guys think, each and every business should accept crypto as a payment method or not, let me know in the comments guys!
