Nordic's nation fiat currency is digitised and the source code for the sandbox is created and released by a crypto based company Nahmii Fintech in coordination with the central bank of Norway Norges Bank to try out the features. This digital prototype is named Krone and built on ethereum network and to be tested for various features that can be implemented in future to test for the financial stability.
The source code is now open for developers under Apache 2.0 license. The main goal of the company is to create an environment in sandbox in the Krone for various services to be in open-source. This open-source can manage the basic services like minting, burning and transferring in erc-20 tokens.
The sandbox mostly previews the interaction between the test network and the network tools management in user interface by facilitating the smart contracts and providing access control. The company's future goal is to implement batch payments and security connections and bridges.
The central bank is currently seeing to develop their own digital currency. The whole point of open-source is to test the integrity and stability of the digital currency for the nation. The use of fiat is declining through out the time since the improvement of digital currency.
