What will happen next in cryptocurrency? My prediction is that Segwit 2x will be successful and Bitcoin surpasses the ATH. This, however, will not change the underlying challenges of Bitcoin, and then Alts will hit their ATHs shortly after. If I am right it does not get any easier. You can be in Bitcoin and some quality Alts and just take a vacation and come back in two months. The fundamentals could not be stronger based on adoption trends, they are insane.
The key risks are scalability along with greater adoption for Bitcoin. Segwit 2x is not enough for how much more demand will be coming for Bitcoin. We have seen the past, and as I see it the past is the future, just with higher prices. That is my prediction, and of course, I could be wrong, but I certainly won't be sitting on the sidelines perhaps watching the greatest wave about to hit we have ever seen.
