I have just signed up for Steemit and it looks like a poor mans YouTube, I notice that on YouTube we have the option to upload videos under the education section, people compile clips of news articles etc. to give people an alternative look at what's happening in the world, but here the first things I've seen are Tags like 'Lifestyle,' 'Travel.'
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this site is more government control under the guise of decentralization, I had listened to a few Steemit users mention that Barnie Sanders had downvoted them which prevented them from making money and being viewed by more users, I've also read that somebody posted content exposes a Florida Shooting as Fake-News or something like that, and again, was downvoted by the people on the site have a lot of influence.
Forgive this being such a small, crap blog, it's my first, I'm just testing the water but I am very interested to know how many other people think this is another system of control that will ultimately lead to everybody being microchipped. Yeah come on in, you can earn money for posting.. Until enough people are in they are willing to be chipped in order to keep using the service because they don't wanna lose out on their digital currency.
In the terms of service it even says they reserve the right to terminate your account for any reason they choose, so question, how decentralized is this anyway.
