I've not invested in STEEM yet for many reasons, one being the fact you actually stated. It's nearly impossible to gather significant amount of STEEM power without investing into the platform FIRST. It's hard to decide whether to invest on the platform or not, because it does have a number of problems for me to invest anything significant.
For now, I've just posted for the sake of it, get to know how the platform is. I have a pretty good image now though. Good luck with your content as well :) Followed you mate.
