There is no such thing as too much champagne, yesterdays Bitcoin reward-halving was an important milestone for me and all true bitcoin-investors who eye Bitcoin as the worlds currency and the fact that greedy over-invested miners now only get 12.5 BTC per block makes us very happy, less new coins per day makes it harder for miners to dump to Chinese, european or american fiat currencies.
Bitcoin today is fundamentally changed - so people who TA their charts will need to adjust for this as the swings between daily tops and bottoms on a normal day will be much smaller now.
Right now Bitcoin is trading at $684 - it will be 4 digits soon enough, just buy and hold - time will take care of the rest :) - I know this, and I am sure you know this too by now.
I have seen more rich people becoming poor trying to day-trade Bitcoin, I personally have said goodbye to 47 people so far this year who came, lost and ran out of liquidity after dealing with super-high leverage in illiquid markets like OKCoin futures and on shady exchanges like Bitfinex who breaks down time and time again while investors getting liquidated.
I personally prefer to do most of my trading on 1broker. They offer a great product, moderate leverage, excellent stop-loss functionality and a per-position-take-profit-solution. I make a lot of Bitcoins trading over there, so I suggest you do the same - there is nobody better then them from all the experience I have had with... omg, I just scrolled down my 2FA list - I have accounts with sooooo many exchanges and brokers - but 1Broker is the one I use the most.
For Altcoin-trading I prefer Bittrex over Poloniex - I trade on both, but I am more comfortable parking larger amounts with Bittrex due to their high level of security, the background of the owners and operators and I simply love how they are keeping up the place. However, Poloniex is more fun, due to the lending-market and the trollbox. They got hacked once, but managed it so professionally by taking a social loss on the entire user-base and then paid everybody back in record-time. They have absolutely earned my respect because of that.
Bitcoin has been the thrill of my life since 2009, and I know it will stay with me for the rest of my life, but right now I need to clean up the place and get ready for the legacy-markets to open in about 21 hours.
