Hardly a day goes by without a new vision sprouts its way out of the blockchain technology. Following cryptocurrency industry used to be like "Eh..." but now I'm reading a few new whitepapers a week and jumping up and down between Discord channels and Twitter posts. During my casual struggle to stay up to date, I came across an interesting new project that I would like to review here: VolAir. The premise of VolAir can be reduced to three words: Uber for flying which translates as an app to book private jet charters.
The center of the project is an app, currently in development, which is going to be operating with VolAir Coin: an ERC20 token based on Ethereum blockchain. I would like to take the chance to congratulate the team for using blockchain technology in their project. The app could have very well worked with a payment system without blockchain just like many other uncool, stone-age apps do, which is no surprise, after all taking a step towards security and transparency is not everyone's cup of tea. We already have some inside and early snapshots of the app, revealing a neat design and some clues about its features. As far as I can tell from the updates, the team is putting the necessary effort on security and user-friendliness, the two defining aspects of all similar software. You can see the updates for yourself on Discord
The good news from the engineering department can only be complete with equally successful marketing. Working in a rather niche market poses the unfortunate difficulty in reaching out to the potential customer. VolAir wants to beat this challenge with the strong names behind the marketing department. Check out the VolAir team here Although I am unable to comment on their complete strategy, according to the Whitepaper they are focusing on local partnerships not just in aviation industry but more broadly in luxury lifestyle as well. There is a number of locals selected as initial targets and the claim of some already established aviation partners which comes as no surprise considering the aviation experts in the team.
It seems to me that VolAir has all the right pieces of the puzzle to write a success story; but to be sure, we'll have to wait the end of the year when everything unravels. Until then, you can either invest in the ICO -ends in December; or if you are in anyway connected to luxury lifestyle, you might want to take a shot at a partnership. Either way, the details are on the VolAir Website
