As I can't always keep serious and analyze everything I see on coinmarketcap.com, this time I decided to let steam off a bit (or "let Steem out" haha), and browsed through the coins. Interesting how complete this site can be, you have many sections, and in one of them, called "trading", you can see. I was curious and browsed through it, seeing a coin named Sexcoin was among them, 7th biggest loser of the day, with about 22% loss and a value of only 0.16$.
I was first both surprised and amused : let's build some coherent, logical reasoning now, as I enjoy to do it most of the time, even if we're dealing with a very funny subject, let's let objectivity out ! Keeping in mind the fact that porn is for average people, do you really think the average Joe - as I often like calling him (even if his name is not Joe :D) - cares about entering the crypto world just for some porn fun ? Seriously, this must be some kind of meme coin, or joke coin, like Dodgecoin was (even if it did well for a little amount of time, the project was just not serious, for pure fun, I will explain it in another post).
Well, who knows ? Maybe one day that kind of coin will be useful, but right now, this is just not the priority of the market, because some other coins that are more important, like Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, need to develop, THEY are the ones that will make the real blockchain links work. Only coherence and logic is enough to know that you can't put the cart before the horse, the entertainment part of the blockchain needs to come after everything else, this is just common sense. You need the cryptocurrency market to have solid foundations, more than now, in order to then initiate that kind of coin. Because it's only then that those "average Joe" people will be attracted by that alternative market. In a nutshell, I'm seeing the cryptocurrency world as an onion, with different layers, which is still building its core right now, and that's why entertainment can't manage to do big breakthrough right now, because most people in it are the more passionate about the structure now, once the structure is completed, a bit more than now at least, then the other "layers", like "entertainment coins", can be introduced.
But this funny topic doesn't have to be ended in a serious way ; just have a look at their home page, if you don't know it's a coin, you could think you've landed on some low-cost porn site page ! haha
