I am not an expert in this but my thoughts might be interesting anyway:
Because Cataluna is trying to secess from Spain it could get problems with the EU, especially with the Euro. This would be the perfect playground for testing a cryptocurrency in real life and as a main currency. Is there someone who knew a good currency for that?
Bitcoin could work because of te broad international acceptance. Some smaller ones might be more useable at the credit card level as cointed, metalpay or ten x... They could be better at getting connected to the reality, which is one of the key implementation factors.
Does someone have a better idea about using cryptocurrencies to support this people fighting for souvereignity?
