The name of the game says it all, each hero only has 9 Lives. This will be the first blockchain game to integrate characters into the blockchain and then later remove them also. But not completely, your character will turn into a statue to be displayed in your training arena along with your achievements.
But not to worry, Lives can only be lost when battling in the 9Lives Battle Arena. You can train your Hero by sparing against other players and gather resources to craft Items.
For those who don't like the grind part of games, you even get a little character called Ooogie. Ooogies will mine for you, even while your away from the game...so long as you keep him fed. Your Ooogie will collect the resources you have chosen, but that doesn't mean you cannot collect resources also.
Ooogie
While you may lose your Hero after your nine lives, your account inventory will not be lost. Meaning your Ooogie could end up being quite the valuable Item, as he will progressively level up reducing your Hero's training time. Training a hero can also be done within a few hours. meaning you won't have to wait days or weeks to get back into the action.
Items, Hero's and even Ooogies, can all be bought and sold, or even traded on external websites and decentralized markets. You may even choose to meltdown Items in exchange for Enjin Coins. As each asset is melted down, it will be removed from circulation increasing its rarity and with it more than likely increasing its price
They claim to be the most competitive blockchain game about to hit the market, However, that was back in August Last year. But, good things come to those who wait, and this looks awesome. They have already begun the alpha test, founders packs and some items are already available from their store. Bare in mind their Kickstarter reached it's initial goal with the first 24hours.
The Best part about the game being cross-platform is that it will allow you to step away from the computer or PS4, while still keeping tabs on your resource collection, or even sneaking in a few battles under the work desk.
Their Lead artist Darry Chen apparently even Left EA to work with TouchHour the developers of the game.
I look forward to playing it, will you give it a go?
