Steps to start the journey to sales excellence
- Cut the three most wasteful non-customer-facing tasks and redirect these to a sales support function
- Overhaul and automate sales tasks, starting with the most critical mission
- Introduce rigid performance management
How top performers outpace peers in sales productivity
I wrote about the subject matter yesterday. Top companies are doing almost three time as good as their competition through optimization. To sum up, the discussion focused on:
- Offloading and automating non-sales activities
- Focusing on the most valuable opportunities
- Cultivating and motivating talent to continue
What I didn't cover yesterday is how the top performers accomplish this. For the sake of brevity, I've taken away the relevant steps for my respective projects. They are as follows:
Cut the three most wasteful non-customer-facing tasks and redirect these to a sales support function:
- If a formal shared services center does not exist, create one for each core region, and plan to shift 50 percent or more of sales support activities to these groups within a year.
Overhaul and automate sales tasks, starting with the most critical mission:
- Develop a road map to automate 20 percent of core sales processes over the next 12 months. Add teeth to these plans and hold leaders accountable for delivering specific ROI gains from this work.
Introduce rigid performance management:
- Establish a weekly steering cadence to align sales team activities with high-value opportunities and ruthlessly de-prioritize lower-value engagement.
Designate a small team to drive productivity improvements:
- Give them technology funding, run sprints every three months, and track productivity KPIs on a monthly basis.
Again, this is a bunch of language unless we get specific and actionable.
I can't get the project to cut the Council, at least, not yet. Instead, I think our group can run much better as a smaller cell, at least to start, generating the flywheel that returns value back to this project.
After all, I'm just following the trail of verifiable research and my growing intuition for success.
The community team formed by @Jotnheimr involving myself, @Proveritas, and others not yet on the platform, is small with a purpose. Our technology funding will come from the engagement from sharing our transparency in $TURBO on $HIVE.
The weekly cadence will create rigid performance management.
We simply post a report of transparency on Tuesday's, for example, and discuss the emphasis on supporting developers on $OCEAN and $HIVE, campaigning for Manifold and others.
The high-value opportunities come from within crypto, aligning the incentive of bringing networks of individuals to each others' platforms.
Key Performance Indicators can include but aren't limited to the number of onboarded community members to HIVE, posts within the $TURBO community, rewards within the wallet of the $TURBO Community $HIVE account.
The only sales I could imagine $TURBO as a project ought to make involves "selling" people on minting with $TURBO on Manifold. To that end, I could see cross-promotion, endorsement, committed collectors, and other positive externalities from network effects occurring.
Twofold, would be our mission to on-board artists to $ETH via $TURBO on Manifold, and increasing adoption of crypto for arts, artists and careers. We could accomplish that by focusing on the points I made within an aligned strategy I wrote for $TURBO.
At least within the team, I'd like to help increase time spent engaging community-members, somehow.
Transparency Update
Today, 7.17.2023, @Jotnheimr and I met with two individuals making an FC jersey available for $TURBO via NFT's on Manifold.
So the first iteration of the Manifold campaign has reared its head.
In addition, the NFT will include access to a fun AR Snapchat filter. Already, I feel that a good contest could involve putting the filter on the funniest individuals you can think of- maybe yourself, but more amusingly others, like Snoop Dogg and Elon Musk.
We would like to secure at least 10 mints, then we can offer a reward, with another aimed at 20 mints. Of course, to the folks at large, we will surprise them with potential. I personally want that Jersey. Ordered a shirt in $TURBO and have to follow up on getting that.
TLDR on TURBO FC Jersey
- 69 Home Jerseys
- 420 Away Jerseys
- 0.069 ETH Mint Price (TBD) [Expensive, in honest opinion]
- 25% Revenue to Community Team to support community
More on the Tuesday Transparency Report, but the following business development opportunities begin here for focus.
