Hey Guys,
Its time for the latest in the world of crypto-forks, before I go into the fork I will be discussing, I wanted to highlight that this post is more of a FYI than anything else, I am most likely going to keep my personal opinions to myself (well I'll try anyway). So here goes:
Yup, you guessed it, Litecoin cash LCC
This hardfork is schedule to happen @ block 1371111 which will be approximately 21:18 UTC on Sunday 02/18/2018 and the 3 main things I wanted to highlight in this post is as follows:
1). Upon a successful launch, anyone that holds LTC (and owns their private key) will be able to claim 10 LCC for every 1 LTC they have in their wallet (10:1 Ratio). The max supply for LTC is 84 Million coins so therefore the max supply for LCC will be 840 Million.
2). LCC will be using the SHA 256 mining algorithm to mine the coins, FYI, LTC is currently using the scrypt algorithm. (you guys can make of that what you please).
3). The block size and the time it takes to discover each block will remain the same @ 13GB and 2.5 minutes respectively for both coins.

The last thing I'll leave you with is what LTC founder, Charlie Lee had to say about the LCC hardfork, you can check that out here.
Well guys, I gotta go and in the words of Charlie Lee, Be careful out there.
