Crypto moves faster than the rest of the world, and I think we are positioned in an amazing time and space. If you are reading this, you are part of the movement and already in a better position then most.
These opportunities do not come often in a life time.
This is my view of how it is currently playing out - this is my perception of the Market and how it is developing. Which is likely about as accurate as a Magic 8-ball, Tarot Cards or you could seek a fortune teller.
None the less this is what my Ouija Board Says:
Fasten your seatbelts we are about to take off, this is not the end of the bubble it is the beginning.
The CME announcement and the recent coverage of Bitcoin is bringing a legitimacy to crypto which it hasn't enjoyed up until now.
Thoughts on a few things this could mean:
- Banks and big money can enter the space, they will not be in every project, but they will be in many of them.
- Their lobbyists will be on the side of crypto instead of fighting it.
- As money pours in so will smart business people and development teams that are used to turning ideas into businesses.
- These businesses will develop our ability to spend, transition and move Bitcoin around like other currencies.
- The bubble hasn't even really started yet.
- The market will become a hot spot to capitalize on the MaaS and P2P spaces. (Money as a Service, and Peer to Peer exchange of goods, services and payments)
- Blockchain technology will reinvent the Internet as we know it.
- Blockchains and P2P payments will change many business models, changing the way we think about National Currencies, and businesses will know no borders. (This is already happening, but crypto will accelerate it)
- Or it could all just fizzle out.
State of Bitcoin:
When I started paying attention to the Crypto Markets, Bitcoin was a dying technology that was large, slow and expensive. Remember the day Bitcoin hit $3,000 and brought the exchanges to a halt for a week? The adoption rate of Alt-Coins shot up and everyone wondered what token would be the first the over-take Bitcoin. Dash, ETH and others were discussed. Not to be displaced, Bitcoin had a hardfork (or 5) hidden up it's sleeve and it has reclaimed it's spot as the king of the Crypto Market. It has held the attention of the market and money has flooded into Bitcoin.
State of Alts:
Most alts have not done well as Bitcoin exploded up to $7000. Many alts will recover in time, but many will not. It will become much more important to have a niche and a vision and the ability to present a digestible vision. With new ICOs each week, new tokens that are quickly forgotten are the result. Last year "They all pump eventually" was something I heard a lot, I doubt that will always be true. In fact I doubt that will ever be true again. Surely some small exchanges similar to "Penny Stock" exchanges will exist, but they will not get much attention.
One year ago the entire crypto market was sitting at about 13 Billion and it is knocking at the door of 200B currently, I am convinced that big players in business want a piece of the markets.
What do you think is next?
