Crypto Africa;
Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my post of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
With this edition, I write about one of the main discussions by Helen Zille at the Blockchain Africa Conference 2019 in South Africa.
The Blockchain Africa Conference 2019 held on the 6th of March in Capetown, South Africa witnessed an email exploration of how blockchain technology can be included in the Mainstream of the African economy as well as how blockchain technology can be used to restore political trust.
Two outstanding speakers at the conference were Beverly Schäffer and Helen Zille.
The Western Cape Minister for economic opportunity, Beverly Schäffer demonstrated that blockchain technology is the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution and has a potential to change the way businesses and organizations are running.
Also, Beverly demonstrated that blockchain can be used to provide better solutions for administration and security.
Next, Helen Zille took over the stage and boosted Schäffer points by saying that "blockchain had extra ordinary possibilities". She stated that certain protocols “need to be overhauled” to include the technology otherwise “we will be following the wrong roadmap“.
