Hello and warm welcome to my Crypto Africa series post.
Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my post of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
On today's edition, I provide updates regarding Paxful's #BuildWithBitcoin Initiative.
Founded in 2015, [Paxful] is a peer-to-peer bitcoin marketplace that connects buyers with sellers. Paxful offers over three hundred ways to pay for bitcoins and as such one can buy bitcoin from paxful in any part of the world.
Paxful launched its #BuildWithBitcoin initiative in 2017 and has so far partnered with Zam Zam water to build two schools in Rwanda.
The first school is a nursery school of three classes for children of ages three to six years old and the second is a primary school of six classes for children within the ages of six to fifteen years.
Currently, the CEO of paxful, Ray Youssef has confirmed that plans are in place to build a third school as the company having talks with partners while finalizing location and construction could in the next quarter of this year.
Kenya, Uganda and Ghana are candidates for the next school. However, Ray Youssef has confirmed that the final decision about the country location is yet to be made.
