Hello and warm welcome to my Crypto Africa series post.
Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my post of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
On today's edition, I write about South Africa being ranked as the top country for Cryptocurrency ownership.
According to a global survey, 10.7% of Internet users in South Africa own a Cryptocurrency. Thailand is ranked second at 9.9% and Indonesia occupies the third position at 9.5%.
The global average of Internet users who own Cryptocurrency is estimated to be at 5.5%.
The results of this survey were based on statistics of Internet users over the last six months, dating back to September 2018 and that span the age of 16years to 64years old.
It should be noted that other African countries were not left out as Kenya and Ghana stole the show and made it into the top 50 of the rankings.
The results of this survey proved that Africa has embraced the Cryptocurrency revolution.
