How did you discover cryptocurrencies?
My first crypto journey started when i began seeking jobs online. Where stay at home moms like me can earn a few while not leaving the kids. By doing this, I can help my husband financially and still have the time to take care of my kids and my aunt whos right leg was amputated due to diabetes.
It started May last year. As I am searching jobs online, I came across a website that says earn btc while clicking ads. It was BTCCLICKS. I had no idea then what BTC - BITCOIN is and what is its value. But even if I have no idea, I did register out of curiousity. I started clicking ads, I was hesitant at first. I have a lot of questions in my mind. What if it wont payout? What if its a scam? But I said to myself, why not give it a try, since its free, then its nothing to lose in terms of money. Theres no investment involve. Since its paid in BTC, I search for btc wallets and I ended up in COINS.PH. But after searching the value of BTC, it isnt enough for my goal. I joined 2CAPTCHA, CLIQUESTERIA , SITECOIN , JUANADS , GPTPLANET , BITCOMINE to name a few. Then the hunt for online job continues.
After the searching here and there, registering to almost all the sites I came across, realizing, its still not enough. Then one day as I am checking my emails, theres one that is different from all the others. It came from a person, not a site I joined. It came from Ankarlie Santos. We exchanged messages. Next, I was doing captchas in RAIBLOCKS working with her. The second crypto I earn and learn was XRB - RAIBLOCKS. Then through mam @Ankarlie I learned a lot more cryptos and earning potentials. Mam Ankarlie plays a big part with regards to my cryptocurrency experience. This is the time where I knew that there still a lot more of CRYPTOS, not just BITCOIN and RAIBLOCKS. I had knowledge of some other coins like DOGE, LITECOIN, DASHCOIN, DIGIBYTE, RIPPLE, MONERO and a lot more. She taught me about FAUCETS like MOONDOGE, MOONBITCOIN, MOONLITECOIN, WALLETS like FAUCETHUB, COINPOT, ABRA, COINBASE, XAPO, COINOMI , MINING like EOBOT, HASHFLARE and TRADING in EXCHANGES like YOBIT, COINGECKO, POLONIEX, BITTREX, BITGRAIL and sites where we could earn a passive income such as QOINPRO, ADZBUZZ, EASYHITS4U. I owe her so much that I dont know how to return to her the favor.
As the journey continues, not all roads are smooth, theres some rocks and humps along the way. It is this time that I joined HYIP which means High Yield Investment Programs, it is a type of Ponzi scheme, its a scam because the money they paid previous investors come from the new investors. Examples are MICROHASH, and AURORAMINE. It is just like the ONPAL or Online Paluwagan. I was scammed not just once, but many times. But I learned from that experience. And promised myself never to join again.
Then mam @Ankarlie shared to us STEEMIT. I registered but it took a while for me to post my first post. Cause I am more of a reader than a blogger. But Mam @Ankarlie didnt give up on me. She keep on encouraging me. Mentoring me that STEEMIT is not just for bloggers only. So I jumped in and try the platform. Since then, STEEMIT is a part of my daily routine.
She also asked me if its okay for me, if she will add me to a group chat for cryptos as I am into it. I said yes. And I was in the group called CRYPTOCURRENCY ENTHUSIAST headed by Sir @Otom. There I learned about AIRDROPS, BOUNTIES and ICOs. I earned different coins, some of it has value and some still have no value. I acquired it all free. I learned how to trade in different exchanges. They said to buy low and sell high, but still I consider myself as a NEWBIE when it comes to trading. I know I still need more experience in trading to learn more. Thank you Sir @Otom and the rest of the group of CRYPTOCURRENCY ENTHUSIASTS for letting me in your group.
And then the journey continues..
What was your first impression on the crypto culture?
Well, at first encounter of BITCOIN I asked myself, does it really have a value? Or its just something more of a token you drop in CASINO or in ARCADES, is the value really true? Or it is just more of a PLAYMONEY in virtual world?
How much have you grown with regards to crypto assets?
For me, I still consider myself a NEWBIE, but in terms of assets, I earn. Maybe not that much compared to others, but since its free its still an asset to me. I still consider it as Gods grace. As Ive said earlier, I need to learn more on trading. I still dont know about scalping and candlesticks and charts. Im glad Im in the group of Sir @Otom, who keeps on sharing their knowledge to others.
What best practices and right attitude can you suggest to newbies?
For newbies like me, all i can advice is to do research, we have google and youtube, and be with groups of Cryptoenthusiast people, like Sir @Otom's group. Keep on learning. But the best teacher is our experience. We may stumble at times, but the important thing is, we learned lessons.
How do you handle the challenges and stress of the market fluctuations?
I am not more of an investor. So all the coins that i have, I acquired it free. So I dont really care if the markets go down. Since I only have small investments, it doesnt have major effect on me. When the markets are down, I just hold. If I have some money, then I will buy some, and sell it when the price goes up. Thats just the way it is for me.
What can you say and how will you try to convince skeptics?
Convincing other people is not really my type. I mean, why should i convince them? And if I did, it might not work. The first step, should be on the person. If he gets my attention, and he shows that he have an interest in Cryptos, then thats the time I will share my knowledge, the possibilities and my insights about Crypto, so I myself can be able to help him in my own little way. And its for them to realized it. They may embrace what I shared to them or not, it doesnt matter. Atleast Ive shared what I have known.
