On a day where most of the cryptocurrencies are down 5% or more, two were going against the grain: LBRY Credits and ViaCoin.
One of these caught my interest: ViaCoin
ViaCoin is an open-source Bitcoin blockchain based on an open-source project that integrates ClearingHouse. Where ClearingHouse is a protocol that allows for asset issuance and p2p trading on the ViaCoin blockchain.
ViaCoin promises 25x the payment processing speed compared to BitCoin and is integrating SegWit in the next few weeks, indicated by ViaCoins announcement yesterday. SegWit, which is also allegedly being added to BitCoin August 1st, is an improvement to the core of blockchain to increase the Bitcoin’s block size limit and allows the implementation of second-layer solutions for further improvement.
Personally however, I believe the most interesting thing about ViaCoin is the development team, as well as the solid roadmap they have in front of them. Today saw the coin increase by some 50-60%, but seeing the potential for this coin in the future, I will be holding on like crazy.
Don't agree? Tell me why? Peak my interest, get engaged, provoke me!
Sincerely, Lasse
Disclaimer: I own and trade ViaCoin.
