So I had an interesting couple of days.
I think I was looking into some coins like NXT, REQ, XRP etc and I saw a link to a Discord with the sole purpose of pumping up coins and "holding". I was pretty skeptical to begin with, but the coins they were listing were actually rising majorly in price.
I was also noticing that many of these pumps were accompanied by large dumps at the height of the peaks, usually around the 2x-3x levels.
The pump last week was EMC2, the pump on sunday was KORE, the pump today was AUR. Suddenly noticed today that the group had disappeared. I also had a message from user named "Download" with an avatar that had the word LOAD on it. I immediately deleted this message as I was guessing it was fraudulent. I'm assuming this Vizard guy tried doing a malware info stealing hack on anyone that had been a member of the discord.
I personally never invested any money from pumps, but I'm glad I didn't.
Don't trust everything you read on the internet, and always be skeptical of people claiming big rewards from little work as its usually a scam.
After all of this I did a little bit of digging and found this reddit post as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7c4ktq/stay_away_from_the_bigpump_discord_channel_it_is/
