The beginning of something huge

Cryptocurrency has only just begun. Something that started as just an idea, now has blown up into an evolving technology. Bitcoin begun the domino effect for the advancement of blockchain tech, and now we are left with decisions of what to believe, what to invest in to, or what the future looks like.

I'd like to start doing active discussion threads on my Steemit profile that involve various topics concerning cryptocurrency and blockchain. Welcome the first of many weekly discussions! Thank you for following my page, thank you for contributing to the community.

The Question

What emerging cryptocurrencies are you interested in and why?

My brief answer: I am interested in a handful of different cryptos. I think my main one is Ethereum, just because there are so many apps being built on top of their platform, with the introduced smart contract system they are definitely leading with some innovation. Another favorite of mine is Civic, an identity verification application for mobile devices and web browser, blockchain secured personal information, I am all about it. Some others in my sights are OmiseGO, Ripple, NEO, Metal, Golem, Bancor, AdToken, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, & BitJob.
