NEO Coin ($NEO) pumped at least 11% in the past day, outperforming most coins in that time period. But why was this? It's not a new coin - it's been around for more than 6 years. I remember seeing it around during the past few years as well, especially on Twitter, being shilled by various people. In the video, I took a dive into the coin, looking at the website and current news to try finding the reason for the pump.

NEO started off as Antshares if you remember and is a cryptocurrency and blockchain platform that was created to build a scalable network of dApps. It was founded in 2014 by Da Hongfei and Erik Zhang and is often referred to as "China's Ethereum" due to its similarities with the Ethereum blockchain. So, it's pretty much an Ethereum-like L1 ecosystem.

I did find the root cause of the pump, which is why $NEO is suddenly an interesting coin after being relatively dormant for so many years.
