What is Litecoin?
Litecoin is a Decentralized and Borderless Cryptocurrency which is based on the Blockchain Technology. It has a max supply of 84 Million and is currently priced at 236 USD/LTC. SO the main reason I think Litecoin is undervalued is that of the fact that it has been advertised as Digital Silver to Bitcoin's Digital Gold. Now that's a flaw right there, People tend to go towards Gold rather than Silver.
Litecoin's Utility
Litecoin is crazy fast when compared to Bitcoin, that is because it was designed for High-Frequency Transactions. The network of Litecoin processes blocks every 2.5 Minutes which is about 4 Times faster than Bitcoin which thus allows faster Confirmations of Transactions.
Apart from that Litecoin was the First Cryptocurrency to implement Segregated Witness.
If that was not enough they also tested out the Lightning Network immediately after Seg-Wit.
Plus it's just an added Bonus that the Transaction Fees in Litecoin Network is close to Zero.
Supply Relationship with Bitcoin
So similar to Bitcoin there are only a limited number of Litecoins that could ever be created. While Bitcoin is capped at 21 Million Litecoin is capped at 84 Million. So it should be fair to assume that Litecoin should Trade at least a quarter of the Price of Bitcoin.
Coin Scarcity
The value of Bitcoin comes from Supply and Demand but the same can be said for Litecoin as only 84 Million coins can be ever Mined. There is a Limited number of Litecoins too.
Payments System
So if you go down the road of Payments System in Cryptocurrencies. Its only Litecoin that fills the Bill.
For example, if you buy a Coffee in Starbucks and want to pay in cryptocurrency. How will you Pay?
Bitcoin transaction will be slow
Ethereum network gets clogged all the Time due to several ICO's
Litecoin is the only Option for you.
Now some of you might say DASH could beat Litecoin. But you also have to consider the Low Cap of DASH which does not make it suitable for Payments.
So these are some of my Reasons for stating that Litecoin is still very undervalued.
