I ran into this article on Hacked.com and it peaked my interest for several reasons. One, I've been very interested in the EOS' ICO and have therefore been following it very closely (jeez, wish it was not one year long!). Two, Dan Larimer, who was the key person behind Steemit, is spearheading this project. Three, the article mentions Steem on multiple occasions (which I think is great for the platform). Here is the summary of the article. Click on the link below if you want a more in depth angle.
- EOS will provide a web-based platform for regular people to make DAPP's and smart contracts
- The team, which includes Dan Larimer, already have several successful projects under their belt like Steem and Bitshares
- Currently EOS beta is supporting 10,000-100,000 transactions per second with a goal of 1 million which is in sight.
- In conclusion, EOS will be a developers coin that will provide software that is scalable, with no transaction or payment fees.
