Hello Steemians,
Indian Government and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) has announced Lakshmi Coin few days back, as we know there are lot of scams going on in crypto space, but this is heights of fraud, Someone already launched a fake version of Lakshmi Coin by the name of "Laxmi Coin" with different spellings on a website https://laxmicoin.trade
At first glance, when i visited this website, claiming for pre-launch with 3.25 INR per coin, it was quite suspicious for me because india is going to launch Lakshmi Coin with Fiat Model not like traditional Crypto model where you can trade. It is going to be INR (Indian Rupee) on blockchain which means 1 Lakshami coin should always be 1 INR.
I tired clicking on various links on the website and nothing seems to be working but payment gateways for buying Laxmi Coin is working completely fine. When i went to https://who.is to check who is the domain owner and who is behind this?
I get to know that this domain was purchased via NameCheap.com with whois protection which means it will not reveal the data about website owner, I have placed a screenshot below for you people to check out.
Please be aware do not invest in this "Fake Laxmi Coin". Indian government has not launched Lakshmi Coin yet and when it comes there will be news and i personally don't think, Lakshmi Coin will be available as decentralized currency or be available for trading with other cryptos, However i do believe Indian government might provide an option to buy/sell bitcoins directly from banks via Lakshmi Coin. We just have to wait and see what's cooking in their mind as there are no specifications released for this yet.
