Oh how the mighty have fallen
...
Whatsupp peeps!
As you can probably guess, this is not going to be one of our regularly scheduled programmes ;-)
I had been hoping to publish a few more blogs on my journey so far, and a couple ICO reviews which I've been looking at - but out of the blue all hell broke loose yesterday with what may have been one of the biggest "scam" outcries I've heard to date.
For those of you who don't know, a quick introduction into Michael "Suppoman". He has a great following of people on Twitter and YouTube, and runs a load of paid training courses on Udemy. All this boils down to his self proclaimed "expertise" in Cryptocurrency.
Now, full disclosure, I am (sorry; WAS) one of his followers, and found some of his content entertaining - although always understood he may well have other motivations for his "advice" so never took it too seriously.
You'll notice above that I say I "was" a follower...
Yesterday Michael decided to PUMP his new Udemy course he had created, with the sole purpose of revealing a "secret ICO". Suppo had been spending the good part of a week (or more) hyping this "amazing", "Wanchain killer" (notice how Wanchain isn't released yet...) secret ICO. And yesterday revealed this fantastic new course to get all the details.. with the small catch that you would have to pay for it!
To my surprise, I actually didn't need to pay for this super special course to get the ICO details, as some clever soul had already done so and posted the details in Michaels tweet (LOL).
The ICO is Seele.
Now, you may already know of Seele, because quite frankly, it isn't that much of a secret. It was certainly an ICO I was already aware of and reviewing. That being said, it seemed natural for me to comment to that effect on the Tweet (check below). What I didn't expect was for Michael to take the approach of blocking EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. that didn't agree with him... Sore loser Michael?
So, is this really enough to say he's been "outed as a SCAM"? Well, I've dusted over a lot of details, and honestly I'd rather you made your own mind up. But for continuity, here's a pretty solid Reddit thread talking through the ins-and-outs... Doesn't look great!
For the brief and succinct of you out there, here's a summary of that article:
- Been promising a secret ICO for weeks
- Claimed it was the best ICO he had ever seen (very questionable - they lost $2MILLION in a SCAM already )
- "Vets" his ICOs for good teams, products, small volumes (Seele - No CEO, no product, 1 BILLION volume)
- Stated this would be released in a specific order to reward his followers - "MasterMind" - (People that bought his previous Udemy courses), Twitter, YouTube.
- Reneged on his promises and released a NEW Udemy course which cost people more money (especially those that previously bought a course based on his promise)
- Blocked everyone that disagreed or mentioned anything about the course or ICO.
- Deleted the tweet to cover his tracks
- Has most definitely filled his bags before PUMPING THE HELL out of this ICO... Not cool.
- Also claims to not take payment for promotions (although clearly took money for HIS Udemy course)...
- Has a potentially shady past
- Also looks like it isn't just me that feels this way:
And the list goes on...
So; what do you all think?
Anyone else on the blocked list for having an opinion?
Am I completely missing the point and being unfair?
Let me know!
As always, thanks!

(normal programme shall resume soon, I promise!)
(and to be clear, although I won't be investing in Seele, it is Michael that I believe is acting unethically, not necessarily them.)
