How did a few of the top cryptos do over the course of ~1 year? I looked at a few of the charts by percentage gain from the start of 2017 to today. There are quite a few unbelievable gains...

Litecoin, started 2017 at $3.61, last $296, 6331%
NEM, started 2017 at .003, last $1.65, 45497%
Monero, started 2017 at $12.37, last $452, 2814%
Dash, started 2017 at $11.39, last $1265, 10191%
Zcash, started 2017 at $44, last $764, 1241%
Neo, started 2017 at .125, last $100, 72551% (Huh???, this was Antshares before changing names last summer)
Steem, started 2017 at .14, last $6.63, 3660%
What do you expect for the top cryptos in 2018? One can say that 2017 was a year of discovery and 2018 will be the year of adoption.
Can those gains be beat? I'm not sure regarding the high marketcap cryptos as they would need to have a major parabolic year. Those are gains that the conventional market takes decades to produce. (Like GE, General Electric with the dividends)
I do think that specific 'alt' coins will be able to produce gains similar to what is seen above.
