Aethia is a Ethereum Blockchain game about raising pets called Ethergotchis in a role-playing fantasy world! Think of it as a mix of Pokemon, with its concept of creating new worlds, combined with Tamagotchi in that you’re responsible for the birth, growth, and development of your Ethergotchi. Each Ethergotchi is a product of its upbringing, and has several dimensions to its personality. All this makes Ethergotchi a much more exciting game with many varied possibilities.
Timeline
February 2nd — February 9th:
This was the pre-alpha, early adopters had the chance to acquire a free egg using the aforementioned smart contract, which makes sure that each address can only get one free egg!
February 19th — March 19th:
First Alpha stage, you can start interacting with your newly acquired egg, there are six required actions for the egg to hatch which defines behavior on the pet coming out of the egg!
The Ethergotchi has 3 phases:
- Egg
- Child
- Mature
Each creature will have five attributes:
- Stamina
- Charisma
- Dexterity
- Intellect
- Strength
When the egg hatches, you can start feeding it and training it. Your pet will be able to perform different tasks such as:
- Breeding
- Teaching
- World Architecting
The team is also thinking to implement a system that makes it possible for the Ethergotchi to reincarnate after their mature phase, after which they retain/increase their attributes!
Players will receive “CHI” tokens on a daily basis, which can be used in various shops inside of Aethia.
An auction house type system will be available for buying and selling pets, which is similar to buying and selling CryptoKitties. The pets will be valued based on its various attributes, career path as well as social standing!
