Welcome to The Cryptocurrency Novice Report for Tuesday March 13, 2018.
Word to the Wise
Today while looking for new ICOs to investigate, I stumbled upon DivinumCoin.
After my first cursory glance through their website, I thought, "This doesn't feel quite right". And then it hit me! Bitconnect! This is a stinking Bitconnect clone! So, what was my first clue? Well they have the same 4 horsemen of the apocalypse as Bitconnect... Lending, Trading, Staking and Referral.
Then there is the Roadmap that promises a lot, coin price wise, but has no substance what-so-ever.
The About Us section has no information about them at all.
Of course there is the lure for you to become their shill by promising you a big slice of the pie for bringing in others.
Apparently the scammers pushing DivinumCoin think we all have a very short memory. After all, they are trying to push a Bitconnect clone less than 3 months since Bitconnect collapsed after being exposed as a giant Ponzi scheme. Please do yourself a big favor and stay away from this scam. When DivinumCoin implodes and everyone has nothing but a wallet full of useless coins you will be glad you did. And if someone you know tries to talk you into investing in DivinumCoin, RUN AWAY!
The Report
With Bitcoin trading in a fairly narrow range of less than $500 the last 24 hours, the broad cryptocurrency market is a mixed bag of gainers and losers, with few coins moving significantly in either direction.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $9122, up 0.5% in the last 24 hours.
Right now Steem is trading at $2.38, down 1.2% in the last 24 hours. SBD on the other hand is moving higher today and is currently at $2.59, up 2.5% since yesterday afternoon.
Currently on the Steemit Market, Steem is trading at 0.931 SBD. With SBD moving up verses Steem, we once again have the opportunity to use SBD to acquire more Steem with 50/50 post payouts, than with 100% Steem rewards.
The supply of liquid Steem fell by about 140,000 Steem since yesterday's report. Currently there are about 77.3 million liquid Steem. This continued decrease in the amount of liquid Steem, even though small percentage wise, should help push the price of Steem higher over time.
Please note: I am not an investment professional. The information I present here is only my opinion. I do not encourage you to invest in any coin I mention, especially those featured in the Money for Nothing section, since most of these are not going to make it and may even be a scam. I only suggest you claim the free airdrops offered, nothing more.
Until next time...
