My prediction:
ETH to hit $3000 5 months in advance of Casper release Q2 2018 as investors front run markets to acquire enough ETH to become validators. That's only about 10X the current price, which is reasonable since ETH ran over 8,000X last and year before. More investors will seek dividend paying cryptos like ETH, Dash, Smart Cash ECT. POS will become mainstream crypto or at least hybrid versions of it mixed with POW/POS. POS adds so many critical features to a system i.e. Governance, scalability, voting, two tier verification of consensus, ID if needed, ROI rewards longterm holders, allows more decentralization due to lower energy requirements.

NEO already has implemented most of these features or will shortly.

Agree. 2018 will be Crypto mainstream breakout year. No doubt.
