The past couple of days have witnessed a huge downfall in the value of cryptocurrencies, with heavyweights like Bitcoin and Ethereum falling by a significant margin. But amidst all the market chaos, one cryptocurrency that emerged as an exception was Ripple, which not only braved the market slump but also recorded a huge growth.
According to the latest figures from CoinMarket, Ripple's net market value reached $72.35 billion at one point, overtaking Ethereum's market cap of $71.59 billion and establishing it as the second most valuable cryptocurrency after Bitcoin. However, Ripple's dominance was quite short-lived as it soon depreciated by a margin large enough to push it back to the third rank behind Ethereum.
