You may have searched for an easy way to mine cryptocurrencies and stumbled over MinerGate. Is this software worth your time & computing power?
First: Is it REALLY easy to use?
MinerGate is the easiest miner to handle I know so far. Simply download, open, register & start mining. For GPU mining you will have to install CUDA on your NVIDIA graphics card.
2: How much money can you earn?
This completely depends on your hardware, the results are worse than competitive non-gui miners like CCMiner. On an average laptop you can earn cryptocurrencies worth half a CENT per hour.
3: When will you get your money?
You have mined Bytecoins for hours and now want to get your coins. When trying to withdraw you face a problem: you have to have 100 Bytetcoins mined to withdraw. The average user who just wanted to try something out won´t complete this tast and hence never see a penny.
4: Does mining even make sense?
The average P.C. will have to work for 100+ hours to generate half a dollar. If you had an infinite amount of time and electricity it would be reasonable, otherwise not.
MinerGate - a solution?
Professionals won´t use MinerGate because the implemented algorithms are not the most effective ones. The average person won´t earn enough and in most cases never see any money. Another downside: It is unknown who is behind MinerGate. So better buy some coins & trade.
