Well I'm still at it. Down in these mines making this money. So far I have just been experimenting and trying a few different miners to see what is up or down with each one. So I will share my results with you below.
I am experimenting with multiple types of mining. Right now I am alternating between two miners to see which one gives more per 24 hour period. First up is the Claymore Dual Miner.
This one I am mining for NanoPool. So with this miner I can get between 20-22 MH/s and it will run constantly with no problem. In a little over 2 days I have mined .02 Ethereum which in today's market that is worth about $5.50.
So all in all not to bad with the dual miner. Not counting 1 of those days I also mined SIAcoin but it slowed my hashrate for ETH to much even after bringing the priority down on the SIA part. I think in a whole day it only mined about 12 or 13 SIAcoin. I guess over a months time that would not be to bad. That brings me to the part about mining that I dislike the most. You cannot withdraw any Ethereum until you reach .05 ETH and SIAcoin until you reach 500. So don't get in any hurry unless you are using more than one card or machine. Just using the one machine it will take me around a week to cash out for the first time.
So now on to NiceHash. It is very simple to use and I get a much more consistent hashrate. It doesn't bounce around nearly as much it stays on a steady 22.5 MH/s. It also searches the other coins before it starts to see which one will be most profitable. There is a slight problem with this on my sons computer which I have now taken over to do a little lite mining on a GTX 1050. The price of a couple of the coins are so close that it tries to swap back and forth between the two. So you are forced to pick one of the two otherwise you lose a lot of time swapping between the two.
Now I really like NiceHash because its so easy and I was able to set it up easy on my sons PC to join my main PC in mining some coins. But once again the payout rate is quite slow. I think the next payout period is the 18th of this month. So 13 more days until it pays out the first cent. I am really looking forward to the payouts for both miners. But I feel like I have to put my main PC on Claymore because I will receive nothing from NanoPool if it never reaches .05 Eth. So I will probably dedicate my main PC to Claymore until I get my first payout there then move both PCs to NiceHash because there is no minimum. You just have to wait until a specific date.
All together between Claymore and NiceHash I have earned $12.65 and I am looking forward to get some of these coins in my hands to start investing and playing with. The one downside to NiceHash and the reason I think some people think it pays less than Claymore is that they convert all coins that you mine to Bitcoin and payout all at once. I don't mind this because I don't plan to scale up any. I will just use these PCs I already had to play around with mining.
