Charlie Lee (creator of Litecoin)
Okay, I know there is this war going on between the Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash community, where Roger Ver (creator of Bitcoin Cash) took over the Official Bitcoin Twitter handle, in effect "holding it hostage" as many have proclaimed, and while it is kind of funny to the people angry at Roger Ver, something still feels off when watching people cheer at the censorship of another. Maybe it is because we know deep down that it isn't a question of "if" it will happen to us, but when.
The issue is whether Bitcoin Cash can go around claiming the Bitcoin namesakes, when his coin Bitcoin Cash is completely separate from Bitcoin.
It is, of course, meant to get people to buy it or use it, thinking it is Bitcoin- which some could say is fraudulent in nature. Roger Ver will tell you that he believes Bitcoin Cash is exactly what Satashi Nakamoto, the mysterious unknown founder of Bitcoin, wanted for the coin and what it was created for.
Due to the recent political purge from You Tube, Facebook and Twitter- the mostly independent and libertarian leaning crowd are both conflicted in that Twitter is a private company and therefore have a right to do what they want and of course the user has a right to use, or not use, the platform.
The problem is, many people are being treated differently. There are countless examples of people who make death threats and break the rules and user guidelines all the time, and they are not suspended. Lately it seems just people with the wrong kind of political views are being de-platformed off of all Social Media. While it may not be a violation of freedom of speech, it is a term of contract breech with the user. What people need to start considering now, is whether or not it is a violation of freedom of speech when the government is subsidizing Facebook, Google, and You Tube.
