Video Startup, YouNow, To Create Cryptocurrency To Pay Creators And Streamers
Competition is growing, and that is a good thing!
It seems yet another company is trying to get into the business of paying its content creators directly via cryptocurrency to incentivize their continued contribution. YouNow, through the in-development app, Rize, plans to integrate a cryptocurrency payment outlet for users in an effort to compete with the likes of YouTube.
Maybe they just haven't yet heard of Steem? Maybe they think it will be more profitable for their wallets if they create their own cryptocurrency?
Whatever the reason, we know that SMTs are on the horizon and they carry the potential to shut down any business that is attempting to pay content creators directly via voting and influence in the form of crypto. DTube + DLive are already forming (with a working product) that will enable the same thing it seems YouNow is attempting through their creation of an entirely new currency.
Will Their System FAIL?!
Or will greed in crypto continue to run paramount and this ICO value skyrocket for no good reason?
