Some clarification is required here. Komodo partnered with Monaize, but Monaize is not some major bank even if they may have a banking license (I'm not sure they do), it's a payment provider that can provide you with an IBAN number. So let's not make it into something it's not. Lots of businesses (e.g. Google and Amazon) have banking licenses too by the way.
Furthermore, the guys at Komodo showed exactly how amateur they were with this whole announcement debacle. Sure, there could be a bright future ahead for them, but right now they look like a bunch of kids coding in a garage that can't even manage a simple webcast. This is why their price dropped like a stone after they completely embarrassed themselves. After all the fuss and hype they generated, it was an incredibly poorly managed "non-event."
