CoinsMarkets Exchange = SCAM?
The CoinsMarkets Cryptocurrency Exchange has been down for nearly 2 weeks now, and many—if not most—of the users are freaking out and crying "scam."
The site developers claim that there was a server overload, and so an issue arose, and they had to move to a different server. It all happened, during the day that everyone found out about Electra (ECA); there was a massive load of new users on the site, wanting to buy some Electra.
I have no idea how computers and websites actually work, so I don't understand all the technical stuff, when it comes to server problems, but many people are saying that it shouldn't take this long for a server migration. Because it's been nearly two weeks, since the overload, people are calling it an "exit scam."
I don't believe that CoinsMarkets scammed us.
Sure, it's taking a long time, but I've seen some great progress, within the past few days, on the site. If they were scamming us, they'd have shut down the site, by now. Why would they continue to work on the site, if they already got all the tokens? I was finally able to login today, and I checked my balances; everything is still there; we just can't deposit or withdraw. Just as they said to us, from the beginning: "your coins are safe."
There is a new message on the site, that says, "We are here to stay , there is few DB issue we are fixing due to DB overload. Now we may be moving due to users contacting hosting and calling us a fraud." Guys, chill, be patient, and know that complaining and creating rumors will do nothing positive for the site developers.
Be patient. Our coins will be available shortly.
