The update of Ethereum, Constantinople, brings about improvements in network performance, in addition to preparing the transition from PoW to PoS.
There have been many delays for its launch since October 2018, this motivated divergences among its programmers related to the rewards of mining activities, decreasing from 3 eth to 2 eth.
The main updates date:
- EIP 145 - Processing of information bit by bit
- EIP 1014 - Skinny CREATE2
- EIP 1052 - EXTCODEHASH
- EIP 1234 - Adjustments of rewards and delays for the difficulty pump
- EIP 1283 - Reduction of the excessive cost of GAS
The EIP 1283, will be in the update to eliminate it in its second update. The update is expected to be at the end of February.
