Why I powered up while Steem and SBD have fallen

I have now been on Steemit for a few months and in that time I have learned so much. I must say that being on Steemit has given me the confidence to not only give Rudi () my blessing to start trading and investing in crypto currency but also to join Dtube and focus my efforts not only on YouTube but also on this very promising platform that I have come to love so much over the past few months.
Now I am not a financial adviser nor am I continuously busy watching markets or teaching on financial trading ,but today when I checked in to my account -which at one point was worth close to $1700 and was at under $1000 this morning- I decided to do the best thing I new how to.
I decided that instead of transferring away from Steemit to invest in another crypto-currency or to withdraw and buy myself some new pants for my growing waisteline, I decided that I believe in the potential of Steemit. And so I could do no other thing than transfer my SBD to Steem (while it was still stronger) and power up to show my support.
Yes, I do hope to make an income off of Steemit ad Dtube one day like so many whales do- I mean who doesn't? But for now I am willing to continue to promote the platform to my fellow bloggers and creators. Because I believe this is it- this will be the next big thing. This platform will one y take over ll other social media sites- and then I would like to be one of those whales that we all follow and comment on in hopes of getting a glimpse of their attention.
So for now that is it. I just wanted to inspire those who are discouraged by the turn from a rising account to a dropping account value. It will turn again and it will grow again. Be an early adopter and do not fade away.
