I find it odd that investors piling into cryptocurrency investment like ICOs somehow think that the business rules that have been developed since the beginning of time have now changed. Most of the startups in the cryptocurrency space will fail. I am not being negative, simply following was history has taught me. Reason being, no matter what product you have invented in any industry, the business will only be successful if the basic business principles are followed lead by a leader who can motivate a team and drive the business forward.
I could invent the cure to cancer, does that mean I will be a wealthy man? No. I still have to monitize the invention and build a profitable business around it surrounding myself with a great team who have the same vision as me. Nothing has changed. Be cautious when looking at crypto investments. Be sceptical and question everything. There are some good startups out there, make sure you sift out the gold from the dirt.
