Let's take a look at 3 large cap coins to hodl through 2018. This research is done by me and me only, and it has been done by watching and learning what specialists in crypto currencies are thinking.
Just because I mention these three, it doesn't mean there will be other coins doing just as well, or even better.
I'll make a top 5 medium and small cap coins later! Stay tuned.
EOS
EOS can be the next step in the evolution if crypto currencies. If we look at Blockchain 1.0, which was pure currencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin, which are means of transferring value - platform such as Ethereum would take it a step further. With simple smart contracts and applications. This would be Blockchain 2.0 Unfortunately currencies like Ethereum has some scaling issues as well. Blockchain 3.0 however is where EOS comes in. EOS can host ALOT of applications.
EOS can actually take the whole Internet to the next level. Old school Internet was links and imagines. Then came the Internet we have today. Websites, accounts, communications, social networks etc.
With EOS decentralized websites are made possible - like Steemit. The information requested by the servers are decentralized. Our browsers fetch the front end and the server query the blockchain. If the server for some reason is compromised, it doesn't matter - because it's on the Blockchain. This is revolutionary. EOS can deliver huge scale.
Ethereum will however implement similar solutions, and therefore I'm bullish on ETH as well. But as with Bitcoin, these are not the coins that could gain immensely in price the next year (which are the coins I'm mostly interested in) even though they will probably double in value.
EOS should explode in 2018 in my opinion. My personal target is 10x, or $50 billion market cap and a price of about $90-100 per EOS in 2018.
IOTA
IOTA offer a new paradime. IOTA has "tangle" or Directed Acyclic Graph (aaaall righty theeen...) which is not Blockchain.
When you send a transaction you don't have any miners validating, but users. So we do not send any transactions fees. As a user you are rewarded by being able to yourself send a transaction.
Some people claim IOTA is centralized. Which is true for the now. But when the network grows larger, the can remove the "training wheels". If they can show that that's true, IOTA could grow HUGE. Fast fee-less transactions.
No price prediction on this. It depends a lot if they're able to take off the training wheels. But if that happens, and it happens smoothly, we could see a big raise in price.
Lisk
Lisk is relatively new as a high cap coin. They have just released their new wallet. Rebranding will happen in Q1 2018 (20th February) Lisk is basically like Ethereum, an application builder, but in Lisk you program with Javascript. Superfast transactions and a new mobile wallet.
Currently at number 20 in Coinmarketcap just over $2 billion, I think this has the potential to more than double this year. I know people are talking about Lisk 200 and Lisk 500. I personally think that sounds a little far fetched, but who knows! If people like it, and cryptos continue to surge (as they will) we could see 100 and even 200 dollars in 2018.
This is not investing advice. You should never take financial advice from Vikings. I own all three coins and are therefore biased. If you don't buy these coins that's your own responsibility..
