Israel has been considering a plan for introducing a digital currency supported by the state for quite some time. Since early 2018, the debate on this topic has reached a new level as the crypto industry in the country is on the rise. Now, this issue is being seriously considered by the Bank of Israel and the Ministry of Finance.
