I was setting up a masternode for Stake Cube this evening and I fell short of 10 Cubes to a node! My options were to go to coinbase, buy some satoshis and move it to crex to buy 10 more cubes. Feeling awfully lazy to do the drill, I decided to just knock on Irish Girl's door for some change. Call it virtual begging, but I just did that and I felt good.
There was no surprise here. Sipping on my Guinness (No kidding, that's exactly what I was doing), I knocked on her door for some spare change. She was quick to come back. The Irish Girl said "Sure. Pass me your address." I flicked her my address and in less than 10 seconds I heard the clink in my bowl - 50 Cubes!
Isn't it strange how we meet people in the crypto world. You meet people on discord, twitter, steemit. It's a whole new vibe and this is why I think we are here to stay. No matter where the price and value takes us, there are new relationships being built, new equations, new rules and it's all too silly to even suggest that we are about price and value.
Just the other day when I was not even considering setting up a masternode, I crossed paths with another stranger on discord. He spent hours over three nights helping me set up my MNs. What do you call this? Real footsoldiers building and shaping a new world without banks. That's how I want to see it!
I did offer to pay the Irish girl in satoshis later. She just asked me to pass the favour onto someone else.
Thanks Irish Girl! I'm on my next SC Masternode.
