Yesterday, I bought into Unikrn and will receive my tokens November 5th. I have found that ICOs have a particularly distinct ability to generate earning potential where bitcoin has lost ground in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin is now like the USD as in it is the reserve cryptocurrency for an entire market of volatile altcoins and coming ICOs.
Today bitcoin is more or less a store of cryptocurrency wealth. If you're looking for more growth potential, one would need to seek out new vehicles. The two paths to profit above bitcoin are altcoins and ICO's. Altcoins like ethereum and others have had great success, but ICO's stand out when it comes to potential growth.
For instance, Ethereum may rise to $3,000. But When? In 5 years? Maybe sooner. But I wouldn't bet on it. Even if it grazed $600 in the coming 12 months I would be surprised. Ethereum is around $300 give or take. A price increase to $600 would be quick double up. That sounds great on the surface, but the opportunity cost sucks!
For the cost of a single Ethereum, I purchased 921 UKG. So for just about $300 I have a potential to double my money if these coins settle at $1 November 5th, I will have tripled my money. There is no guarantee of this, but the opportunity cost is incredible when compared to speculating on altcoins or bitcoin itself. It is actually more likely that buying into any of these altcoins or bitcoin could produce a loss in the medium term, than my chances of UKG settling at anything under $1 in the next 6 months.
All ICO's are not created equal. You must do your diligence. Find quality ICOs with the right personnel and product behind them in order to spot real opportunity, rather than your average pump and dump or scam ICO.
I made a simple bet in this ICO and my choice to invest in it. I respect a businessman who is a self made Billionaire. I know on some level at least, he's at least financially smart. I also take serious note that Mark Cuban is Bitcoin's most recent outspoken critic. I think when he makes the decision to put his name and credibility behind an altcoin ICO, he sees something worth investing in. I know many people don't want to buy into the ICO for his past comments alone, but that is like saying, "one doesn't like making money!", because they didn't like how money smelled. Boo. It's an emotional response. In investing and trading, emotions don't belong in the decision room.
Wish me Luck :)
