I read a post the other day saying that if you just put rubbish into the signup code when applying for a Bittrex account, they will actually open an account for you.
I was sceptical, but it was worth a crack, so I filled in the form.
Sure enough about three days later I got an email telling me I could open an account. Woohoo!
But…
This is not like opening an account anywhere else, so if you are planning on doing it, set aside a few hours to get it all done. The process has many, many steps and then you have to upload ID and a selfie and, and, and…. Just to be able to make a deposit.
So after many system generated emails, downloading Google Authenticator, uploading images etc, I now have an account that I can use (hopefully) to trade my SBD.
What a palava!
Contrast that with gopax.co.kr the new Korean exchange that has just listed STEEM and SBD, which took about five minutes to sign up and get verified.
I now have more than one or two was of getting my SBD out and trading it, which is useful. It also lets me see what SBD and STEEM is being traded at around the world.
