Reddcoin is a cryptocurrency that allows users of existing mega social networks such as facebook and twitter to send money to each other - so it effectively adds some of the benefits of Steem to these massive, existing sites. Yesterday John McAfee tweeted out his hot tip to buy it and the price soared.
I had actually bought some Reddcoin before John McAfee got to talking about it and so I had a nice surprise christmas gift from him! I don't personally want to support Reddcoin as a utility since I don't really want to support the mega corporate networks as utilities, however, I always like to test such new technology and will play with it to see what can be learned as I evolve my own social network and also develop systems that work with STEEM.
I'm not into making predictions for the value of cryptocurrencies beyond about 48 hours into the future, but since these are still only a couple of US cents per coin, I suspect Reddcoin is a decent prospect for those looking to see some return on their trades!
