I ran across this story of how people in Siberia risk their lives for the chance to get rich searching for mammoth bones. Sounds like some Indiana Jones stuff, the reality is much tougher. I don't intend to start filling my posts with links to other material, but given the interesting story I'd like to share it with you. The link to the story and pictures is here:

The reason I'm sharing this is, because it made me think of how people generally don't understand the value of saving and investing. If you have the money to leave work and go on a hunt for mammoth bones, you probably have some savings also. They are probably minimal, but they are savings, and those savings could potentially grow. Of course, I realize that not everyone has access to what I'm used to having, internet banking and so on. But thanks to cryptocurrency, now many people can start investing with just minor investments and make a fortune, or at least make more money.
I don't want to sound like I think everyone has the same opportunities, I know they don't. But I also think people are generally more inclined to go for the gamble, like risking their lives for the chance to find some bones in the wilderness. Anyway, if you are reading this, you most likely have the opportunity to invest in cryptocurrency at the least. I want you to think of your own behavior. Do you usually go for the risky choice of buying a lottery ticket? Or do you invest that dollar or what ever it costs in another way, like into cryptocurrency?
I'll admit, I do both. Occasionally I buy a lottery ticket in the hopes of winning a few million, but I'm realistic, I don't really believe I ever will. But I also invest most of my savings, mostly to the stock market, because I like to think I understand how that works. Instead of going for the chance of getting a hundred thousand in a week, I go for the getting a hundred thousand for sure in 10 years.
Well this post is mostly about getting you to think about what you generally do. Does the mammoth tusk sound like something you'd go searching for if you knew people who did it and had the chance? Or doing something similar? Or do you invest wisely and expect realistic outcomes? For example, writing steemit articles and collecting steempower can eventually lead to a hefty sum, but that will take much time, are you up to it?
