Three Buron Owners
LHOKSEUMAWE - Lhokseumawe District Court of Justice (PN) punishes Murtadha (24) with life imprisonment at the final hearing of a drug case in a native PN on Thursday (20/4) ill. In the conclusion of the judge, he proved a 41 kilogram shabu-shabu killing at home, Meunasah Tunong Village, Blang Mangat Sub-district, Lhokseumawe City.
The verdict was read out by the Chief Justice Muhammad Yusuf SH accompanied by two judge members, M Kasem SH dam Mukhtari SH. The verdict was in accordance with the answer of the public prosecutor (Prosecutor) from Kejari Lhokseumawe at the previous hearing.
Until Murthada was convicted, three other men involved in the illicit goods business are still at large. They are Budiman, Asnawi, and Edi, the owner of shabu-shabu from Blang Mangat sub-district, Lhokseumawe City. But their names are included in the Print people list (DPO).
Previously reported, Lhokseumawe Police officers on August 23, 2016 arrested a citizen who was estimated sabu sabu can be washed evidence of sabu weighing 41 kg after the information from residents. The news of the capture of large quantities of sabu was conveyed by the then Aceh Police Chief, Inspector General Husein Hamidi, to reporters.
The judgment also tells about the chronology of shabu-shabu currently supplied from Malaysia through Blang Mangat neighborhood, Lhokseumawe City, using a ship.
Then, Asnawi (now buron-ed) keeps shabu-shabu at Edi's home, Blang Mangat area and asks the defendant to guard it.
However, soon Lhokseumawe Police officers managed to seize the shabu-shabu and arrested the defendant.
Three other men were not at the scene when the arrests were made. Even now they are fugitives. Finally, Murtadha remained alone in accounting for his actions.
According to the judges, the defendant was legally and convincingly proven. Article 23 of Law Number 35 Year 1999 concerning Narcotics. On that basis the judges sentenced the defendant to life imprisonment.
The verdict was equivalent to the prosecutor's reply to the previous trial. However, against the verdict yesterday, prosecutors expressed their thoughts. The defendant, accompanied by his lawyer, M Nasir SH, was also thinking.
"We have about seven days after the verdict was read by the panel of judges," said M Nasir.
According to him, in the case, the defendant only keep the goods alone, but did not report the incident to the police. "So, my client is not a dealer, but be wary of Asnawi's request," said M Nasir, the defendant's lawyer. (Jaf)
