While cyrptocurrency is still a relatively new subject, I'm an even newer believer in the technology. I can't say, with any certainty, that I understand the technology behind it or that I would be willing to bet all my paper-backed currency (i.e. U.S. Dollar) that it will still be around in 5, 10, 50 years time. It might still be here but look and feel totally different from what were seeing. I know there are still naysayers out there, in particular this Wall Street Journal article by James Mackintosh, "Bitcoin’s Wild Ride Shows The Truth: It Is Probably Worth Zero" https://www.wsj.com/articles/bitcoins-wild -ride-shows-the-truth-it-is-probably-worth-zero-1505760623#comments_sector
Mr. Mackintosh makes some valid points but I'm not inclined to buy into his bottom line that cryptocurrency, when weighed against the time tested value of currencies (such as the U.S. Dollar) is worth Zero.
