So down here in Texas we really only get snow every few years. Most of the time when we get it, the snow or ice doesn't stick, and well we get ice much more often than snow but still not very often. I went to Walmart(because all the other grocery stores in town were closed), on the way in I saw lines at the register like they used to be on Black Friday, you know before online sales became a big thing. We got to the food and there was no bread, milk, eggs, sandwich meat or water. The gatorades had been completely wiped out as well. There was a line of 50 people at the water refill station as well. Tons of people are without power or water. the thing is if these people would have been prepared when they first heard about these storms there would be no reason for panic. We stocked up on everything days ago and filled up all our gallon jugs with water because I knew this was a possibility. Power outages even caused the Stars' games to be cancelled. The weather is supposed to get bad again this evening, and the crazy thing is the roads aren't too good, but aren't too bad as of now. There are bad spots, but, I imagine after the water that has melted freezes over, and more ice comes down that will change. Stay warm and stay safe out there. If you don't HAVE to go out then don't. I am going to go back into my #ctp training and make some good use out of my time. I am learning some new things and refreshing some things I did know. I am taking this info and applying it daily.
