2020 should have taught you something, if it didn't then i really do not know what to say to you?
It should have taught you that just having a plan A only is not a good idea.
Industries, jobs and businesses can be destroyed at the whim of our overlords descisions.
There will always be things that happen that are out of our control, but if you do not prepare for things like this, you will find yourself in a terrible position and that is what has happened in 2020 particularly.
Successfully rich people rarely have all their investments in one place and rarely do they only have one income from one source.
So why do most people?
I believe it is a mixed bag of a lack of knowledge, being comfortable and fear.
You can probably throw some conditioning in there as well whether that be from parents, society or whatever.
No matter what it is, if you find your sitting there with only a plan A in place you may very well find yourself with issues down the line, i have personally had this experience in my life.
Trust me when i say starting from scratch depending on how hard you fall is not going to be easy especially if you have to learn new stuff on top.
I will be totally honest i don't think just having a plan A & B in place is enough either have a plan C as well.
The fact is the more ways you have of having earning an income, the more ways you have to save money and the more ways you have to invest money can only be a plus for you and your family.
Do not just depend on JOB, do not just depend on a business and do not just depend on an investment.
At a moments notice you could lose that job, that business may fold and investments maybe lost.
Do not just put all your eggs in one basket, if you have a job take some of that money and invest either in a business or into investments or both.
The more spread out your funds are the more secure you will be.
There are no excuses either because we live in an information age, everything we could ever want to know about any subject is at our fingertips. Also if you have a job, starting an online business on the side is pretty low cost and easily done, it is the same for investments to buying precious metals, crypto, stocks, does not have to cost an arm and a leg either.
Investments like precious metals, crypto and stocks can be built overtime too, you don't just have to dump everything you own on them, starting these off now will build you a nice portfolio further down the line.
Do not just put everything into one industry either spread it out that way if something does fail it won't be such a big deal, it will be more like a flash in a pan other than your whole world burning to the ground.
Listen to other people, but make your own descisions remembering that everything you do is about securing your future and that it is your journey not someone else's. Look the truth is when things go wrong it is you that has to deal with the consequences not other people, not experts, not your boss, not your staff, not Sandra or Bob from some social media platform and certainly not our overlords.
I am not giving you financial advice here, this is all just my opinion based on previous experience, i had to claw my way from the streets of London, i have lost jobs through no fault of my own, i have lost a business through mental health issues and had to start from scratch non of it was fun.
